Orthopedic Specialist / Spine Subspecialty
Dr. Juan David Castro Gómez is a Medical Doctor and Surgeon from the Pontifical Bolivarian University, graduating in 2001. He specializes in Orthopedics and Traumatology, also from Pontificia Bolivarian University, graduating in 2005. He received training in spinal surgery at Pontifical Catholic University of Curitiba in partnership with AOSPINE.
His professional career began at the Bolivarian University Clinic as an Emergency Department Physician in 2006. He then worked as an orthopedist at the El Rosario Clinic and the El Norte Clinic. Since 2014, he has been working as a surgeon in the spine department the El Rosario Clinic and the San Rafael de Itagüí Hospital.
Dr. Castro has attended various national and international congresses, seminars, courses, and internships, which have allowed him to stay at the forefront of his specialty. He has completed the Regional AOSPINE Course for the Spine Surgery Master’s degree and received training in advanced surgery for tumor resections and minimally invasive procedures. He also completed an internship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, a world-renowned center for tumor pathology treatment.
