Orthopedic Specialist / Spine Subspecialty.
Dr. Sergio Arango is one of the founders of the Campestre Clinic. He graduated in 1986 as a Medical Doctor and Surgeon from the Institute of Health Sciences (CES). In 1995, he completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Pontifical Bolivarian University, and in 2001, he finished a Spine Subspecialty Fellowship through the AO Spine program in Santiago, Chile.
Since then, he has attended courses and conferences on “Spine Problems and Management,” keeping himself up to date with the techniques used worldwide. He began his professional career at the General Hospital of Medellín as an Emergency Physician from 1998 to 1991. He then worked as an Orthopedic Physician at the San Juan de Dios Clinic, Su Salud Su Cita, and SURATEP as a Spine Specialist. Currently, he continues to provide his services at the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital.
Dr. Arango is a faculty member in the Orthopedics department for undergraduate studies at the Institute of Health Sciences (CES), and also teaches postgraduate classes at the Pontifical Bolivarian University.
Among his other courses and conferences, Dr. Arango completed an Anterior Column Fixation Course in New Orleans, United States, in 2001. He participated in the Latin American Spine Forum in Miami, United States, between 2004 and 2005. He also completed a spine internship in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2003 and spent a week in Caracas, Venezuela, in 2002 for an internship on scoliosis.
