Orthopedic Specialist / Knee Subspecialty
Medical surgeon, Orthopedist, and Traumatologist, specializing in Knee Surgery in the University Foundation of Health Sciences and the San José de Bogotá Hospital in 2012, and with a Travelling Fellowship from the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), obtained in 2015.
Recognized as the first female Knee Surgeon with formal training in our country and in Latin America.
She has extensive experience in the management of osteoarticular pathologies, orthopedic conditions, sports trauma, and knee joint replacements.
She is interested in the prevention of degenerative and sports-related knee injuries and in comprehensive work with rehabilitation, offering her patients the ability to return to their pre-injury activities. She is the founder of ACCART (Colombian Association of Arthroscopic Surgery and Joint Reconstruction).
She is an instructor and teacher for orthopedic residents and knee surgery fellows. She is an instructor and teacher for advanced knee surgery training.
She is an author and co-author of various research papers, as well as a national and international speaker and consultant.
