Specialist in Internal Medicine
Founder of the Campestre Clinic, specialized in Internal Medicine (a branch of medicine focused on the promotion, prevention, and treatment of non-surgical diseases in adults).
During his undergraduate studies, he was recognized with the Honorary Degree of “Best Academic Average in the Faculty of Medicine of the Pontifical Bolivarian University in 1988.” He has also received honors for his performance as a teacher, as he was named the “Best Professor of Clinical Sciences at the CES University in Medellín” in 1997. Additionally, he was recognized as the “Best Public Servant, Social State Enterprise Hospital Manuel Uribe Ángel de Envigado” in 2004. In 2014, he was awarded the title of “Exemplary Citizen of Envigado” in the category of “Academic Achievements.”
He has been working as a Clinical Sciences Professor at CES University in Medellín since 1994. Since that same year, he has served as an Internal Medicine Physician at the Manuel Uribe Ángel Hospital and worked a member of its Board of Directors until 2012. Currently, he is fully dedicated to his private practice at the Campestre Clinic.
In 2013, he traveled to Rome as a special guest for the canonization ceremony of Mother Laura Montoya, since he worked in Colombia as a medical expert before the Vatican to demonstrate that the case in question had no scientific basis for a cure or treatment.
He has participated in numerous courses and congresses in the field and has served as a local and national lecturer at various medical update events. He has published articles in national medical journals such as Acta Médica Colombiana and has contributed as a co-author to some chapters of the book “AIDS: Integral Approach” by the Biological Research Corporation CIB.
His expertise is recognized in the treatment of diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Thyroid Diseases, Dyslipidemia, Pulmonary, Digestive, and Infectious Diseases.
