Orthopedic Specialist / Pediatric Orthopedics Subspecialty
Dr. Clara obtained her medical degree from the Pontifical Bolivarian University in June 1993. She completed her residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Antioquia in 1999. In 2007, she underwent training in Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Trauma, and Hip Preservation Surgery at Bern University Hospital.
She began her professional career in September 1999 at the Noel Children’s Hospital Clinic as a Pediatric Orthopedist and continues to work there to this day. She worked for 10 years at San Vicente Foundation Hospital, as a trauma orthopedist for adults.
Since 2005, she has worked as a professor of orthopedics in the undergraduate program of Medicine at CES University, and since 2007, she has been the coordinator of the Orthopedics undergraduate program at the same university.
She has also worked as a Pediatric Orthopedist at Somer Clinic in the municipality of Rionegro since 2014.
Dr. Clara Trujillo is an honorary professor in the Orthopedics and Traumatology postgraduate program at the Pontifical Bolivarian University and in the second specialty of Pediatric Orthopedics at the same university.

- Active member of the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SCCOT)
- Active member of the Colombian Society of Pediatric Orthopedics (SOCOIN). Secretary for the period 2011-2013.
- President of the Antioquia Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology for the period 2012-2013.
- Alternate board member of the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology for the period 2013-2015.
- Secretary of the board of the National Orthopedics Union (TOA) since 2006 to date.
- Recertified by the Colombian Council of Accreditation and Recertification of Medical Specialists and Related Professionals (CAMEC) and the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SCCOT) in the specialty of Orthopedics and Traumatology for the period 2015-2020.
